Trimble® CX™ 3D Scanner – consistent accuracy, flexible processing capabilities, Trimble Access enabled

The Trimble CX scanner is a mobile and light-weight instrument that allows for easy movement on a project. The proprietary WAVEPULSE™ technology combines the low-noise sensitivity and high-distance discrimination of time-of-flight technology with the high, short-range accuracy of phase shift technology.

The result is high-precision measurements over the full operating range that provide the clean 3D data needed for applications such as tunnel and bridge surveying, facade documentation, archeological recording, accident investigation, building information modeling (BIM), and so on-allowing you to realize increased productivity gains and reduced operating costs. And by requiring fewer setups and enabling faster processing time in challenging environments, the Trimble CX scanner can contribute to improved worker safety.

Built for efficiency in the field
The Trimble CX scanner is built for efficient data capture in the field. With reliable scanning at 54,000 points per second, an 80 meter range and a 360 degree x 300 degree field of view, the solution provides efficient data capture from a single setup.

Rugged design, IP54 environmental rating, and a protective covering for the rotating mirror allow the scanner to deliver continuous and reliable results even in challenging and constricted environments. An integrated camera collects additional image information that can improve the visualization, postprocessing, and communication of the captured data.

The Trimble CX scanner is supported by Trimble Access™ general scanning software* for Spatial Imaging, which runs on the Trimble Tablet rugged PC. With intuitive and streamlined Trimble Access software, capturing data with the Trimble CX scanner requires a very short learning curve.
* Trimble Access also includes specialized applications; these are not currently supported by the Trimble CX scanner.

With a single pre-programmed push-button gesture, the Trimble CX can also capture data in controller-less mode. This represents a potential productivity gain in terms of on-site time constraints.
